Selco was approached by a customer needing an electronic controller to replace a competitor product that would be used in a precision tank heater. The requirement was an electronic controller kit that included a proportional heating electronic control board assembly and a potentiometer assembly.
We were able to modify our custom water heater control by removing the touch control and LED’s, accommodated a potentiometer and added the quick connect arrangement the customer needed.
Specs: Power supply 90VAC to 250VAC ±10%, 50/60Hz
Inputs: 2 Qty 1 – Thermistor – Can program different curves Qty 1 – Potentiometer
Setpoint range: Configurable - can program different ranges
Outputs: 2 1. TRIAC output. Up to 40A (depends on heatsink), 600V, zero-cross switching 2. Indicator Light (0.5A)
Mating terminals:
- ¼ Quick Connect for power input and LOAD
- Sensor - 2 pins male, 0.1" pitch, straight, friction lock, JST XH family
- Potentiometer – 3 pins male, 0.1" pitch, straight, friction lock, JST XH family
Operation: Proportional control or ON/OFF. It can be programmed based on the application
Overall dimensions: 2.5” x 3.5”, 1” height
